Revelations

Sometimes we see beauty on the outside
  for all intents and purposes,
Because some secrets are never meant to be known,
But when the real story rises up and surfaces,
The truth can be chilling down to the bone.
Revelations are awakenings, a significant beckoning,
Making us see the true condition for what it’s worth,
It can be very revealing, disturbing and unfeeling,
But you get to walk in the light from that point forth.
