Words

Words can hurt
Words of deliverance we hear as someone is lowered in eternal dirt
Words to soothe
Words in music to get you to move
Words we read in books
Words to compliment your looks
Unheard mental words
To stir our edgy nerves
Many cannot speak words
Words read off our lips is what they have silently heard
Words for relaxation
Words stated from the pulpit in front of a congregation
Introduction written words of the declaration to adopt our civilization
Words to begin a conversation
Words to deescalate a verbal confrontation
Words to express
Words meant to physically caress
Congratulations words of praises
Humble words to ask for monetary raises
Why am I talking about words
It’s something today I strongly preferred
Yes words today, in case anyone misheard
What happens when the heart the mind or soul have no more words to forgive
Your presence has been outlived
No more words to go on
Not saying this to take pity upon
No more words to care
When you no longer have a hope or a prayer
No more words to stay afloat
Especially when your life has hit a sour note
Some people in the world have emotionally forgone
C'est tres bon if the world can sing your life’s song
When emotions have been overdrawn
To feel in life you’re only a pawn
Some are such battered, but beautiful Swans
Flapping their wings to keep them from drowning
No comforting words to uplift beyond their frowning
Therefore, whatever you do
Remember words are the face of you
Words we think to say
Can make someone else’s day
Or take one’s breath away
Uplift, our bow and arrow to slay
Although, sorry is the most often used word
When emotions have been deterred
Chauffeured around the heart or transferred
Into the past
He who laughs best laughs last
Hard and fast
Therefore give your words a little sweetness, a total blast
Give the definition behind your words a recast
A simple casting call
Therefore, your words may fit the bill for, some, mainly for all
Author's Note
But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth
