At one time the older folks were revered as sage and wise now just a burden and stupid. I see it everyday. Makes me kinda sad.

It's the western society that looks like elderly like a burden.
The middleeasterners and more traditional cultures still maintain their respect to their elderly.

You nailed a ugly truth about our world. Instead of honoring the old for their wisdom we push them aside like used furniture. Very well done.
