Time-
For many, this is the time called Halloween, but it is increasingly being remembered by those with Celtic ancestry as Samhain. It means “summer’s end”, and is the time when the veil between the worlds is at it’s thinnest, a time to remember and call to our ancestors. To ask for their guidance and wisdom. It is a time for ceremony and ritual, and a great time for divination. Peace and blessings to you all 🧙🏻♂️

Dear T,
I loved reading about the history.
I only recall the nightmare lessons we’d have to suffer listening to in catechism as a young person. As an older “young” person it’s become my favorite holiday as I don’t have to get together with family! Is that bad? That’s probably bad, isn’t it?
Merry Samhain to you! I hope this sees you to a wonderful end of year! H🌷

I think and believe that you need to honor these moments in a way that makes you thrive and be happy. It's a time to honor our ancestors and that means deep in our lineage. It doesn't always mean our close family circle. So I say your way is perfect. I do a universal prayer to honor all who have been with me in all lifetimes..xoxo Blessings be to you while you journey to the new year..

Thank you!
I really should re-read my responses before I hit send. I forgot to write (even though I thought these words) that we were never taught Sahmain. We learned Halloween was the night all spirits walked the earth and we must pray vigilantly not to be swept away in a gulf stream of sin until 11/1 All Saints Day where we must pray vigilantly again to be swept away in a gulf stream of heavenly reward.
I much prefer the idea of honoring our ancestors and family. Has a much nicer vibe. Thank you for that insight. Truly sheds new meaning on this holiday- even if I am in it only for the candy ;-) H🌷
