From a Distance
I have felt loss
so much,
I try not to love
anything, ever.
If it doesn't exist
it cannot disappear.

Re. From a Distance
The emptiness in this rolls on and on long after reading, Nikki. Almost as a caterpillar ocean crawls. I felt this way once - then met with an old Chinese man for tea. So wise, was he. He told me I guarded my heart as though it was a precious vase that could get knocked over and broken. This guarding created anxiety, fear, worry, and so forth. Whereas, if I would just let the damn thing fall and break, then sweep up the pieces and throw them away - I would never worry about it being broken again.
He was right. Come what may I experience it.
That which comes comes. That which stays stays. That which leaves, leaves.
I think the blue photo adds a depth to this as well. . .

Great advice.
Anxiety, worry, fear, are my usual dinner guests. I wish I could abort them.
thank you Ahavati for your awesome comment. ❤

You know the quote about love? ... Though I do empathize, love even fleeting is a balm of life ... I will always choose love over nothing ... Good write ... Bless and love ...

Reminds me of the end of Catcher in the Rye. He says don't ever meet anybody because the second you do, you start to miss everybody, Something close to that. Cool write.
