Gendered
Men and women are different and as well they’re supposed to be. Mother Nature designed us to be complementary to each other so that greater whole could be elevated. Humanity is a gigantic super-organism, requiring of polarity to shift its morass into the crevices of evolutionary pressure. Extreme awareness and extreme ownership. The most valuable contribution to humanity a man or woman can make is to be a man or woman, to be all of them as a man or woman. The natural order of nature and the universe has cause preceding effect, men leading women, predator feeding off prey, night following day. In many ways these equations can be seen as conflict dynamics. In this modern era all power dynamics are often viewed as conflict dynamics. The need to shift power and represent an entire group is tribalism exerting itself within a population. We’ve seen such culture wars before, in the civil rights movement, in the GLBT movement, in the sexual revolution of the 60’s, the rise and fall of Feudal Japan and the Shinto culture, the Italian Renaissance, the Age of Reason, the Industrial Revolution, the kickback of every generation against the elders. The modern culture war includes the gender war, the masculinizing of women, the feminizing of men, the watering down of bold and powerful language, the pussifying of expression in PC culture, safe-spaces, micro-aggressions, the Censorship of Comedy, Outrage Culture, Call-Out Culture, the weaponizing of finger-pointing, the demonization of white men, the shaming of masculinity… In every example is the same lever being used, in all cases a flattening of the animus, a lowering of the bar, an erasing of hierarchy, status, competition, polarity, the natural order. Polarity is in the sun and the moon, Polarity is in the magnetic pull between a man and a woman. In the complete enjoyment of peace after combat, the rest at the end of a day of work, the ice cubes in a drink while sitting before a fire, feeling both at once. Erase the fire of nature, flatten the animus, lower the bar, eliminate polarity and watch pussies dry up, comedy nosedive, movies and books become bland and a whole generation of victims will be born. Men and women are different as well they’re supposed to be. Our differences are what make us who we are. Our similarities, and we might have more in common than differences, but our similarities are what make us able to pull in the same direction, to be on the same team, to unify, to elevate each other. Men and women can embrace and love each other and for each other’s unique values without seeking to compete or crush each other. Flattening groups in wide swaths makes for a very cloudy lens. More importantly it corners the viewer into that one position, in a corner, with a hammer.
