INKling No4 – justice
“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” Dr Martin Luther King Jr
avenge the naked souls
of those who hunger
for crumbs that fall from
tables where they linger
bring nurture to the fatherless
instead of scorn
take time to bless
the prisoner
behind the wall
hears no kind voice
unless you call
when love and mercy
are your friends
justice will pain
and sorrow end

Justice will pain - I had a bit of trouble with this line, Cabcool.
Did you mean it in the context that Justice will pain the unjust, thus serving itself?
I found this, at typical of your work, a very enlightening piece whose essence is unity through compassion and peace.

Sometimes a reader has to dig just a little deeper to find meaning. Let me give you a comparative statement alongside the line of poetry that seems vague:
a) God will evil destroy forever. [God will destroy evil forever.]
b) justice will pain/and sorrow end [justice will end pain and sorrow]
I'd call it allowable poetic awkwardness or poetic license.
You balance your question with a great compliment at the end, for which I thank you.
