Torn between worlds
maybe this connection was..
Unplanned, unforseen
nothing more than a brief hello
Who knows how these things go
really what is love

To wait a thousand lifetimes
what is a thousand more
seems we are passing one another
such as two vessels on a starless eve
warm greetings and salutations

Brief eclipsing of the sun and moon
snow flakes dancing with dew drops

life seldom flows a clear course
Laughter echoing within dreams
nothing is what it seems

Those scars forever marking skin
carying pain in neatly crafted boxes
witnessing something true
strength found deep within
That desire for something better
all those tears worthwhile


Gone through the fires
stronger but not the same
ascended above those dark places
We of one breath desire
Forever always seeking

some stars fall, caught mid plunge
soothed with tender words
healed by the sincerest of intent
Burning those remaining fumes
bright shining illuminaries they hold

Lanterns guiding against the darkness
signposts for those further down
