Trichobatrachus robustus, pepper spray, and men like you
There is a frog out there
That breaks it's own bones
Those bones then tear through their flesh
Becoming claws used in defense
When you don't take no for an answer
Invading my space, getting in my face
Making all my danger alarms scream and go off
Inside my skull, I picture not a lion, bear or wolf
But a little frog so inconspicuously
Breaking itself to defend itself

Headphones go on
Metal? Maybe some good ol' tech n9ne
Something to block you out

My face relaxes into a mask
A mask perfected just for men like you
My eyebrows lower, my lips fall into a frown

My hands slowly going into my pockets
My pepper spray hides in one; all cozy
My knife is in the other, it has my name on it
I hate the fear coursing through my veins
The fear on my tongue, the taste of it gag worthy
I go through the ways I can physically hurt you to prevent you hurting me
If I had the capability to break my fingers
Into claws like a hairy frog, would men fear me more?
Instead of making me carry items designed for safety in mind?

Harvard biologists have described a bizarre, hairy frog with cat-like extendable claws. Trichobatrachus robustus actively breaks its own bones to produce claws that puncture their way out of the frog's toe pads, probably when it is threatened.The hairy frog is also known as the horror frog or Wolverine frog. It is a Central African species of frog in the family Arthroleptidae. It is monotypic within the genus Trichobatrachus. Its common name refers to the somewhat hair-like structures on the body and thighs of the breeding male.

Ha!! I carry weapons such as these as well! I'm petite so most look at me as easy bait! Then POW! My little lady complex kicks in (lol) and I am all over you! I prefer little knives I can hide cause I am of a smaller size! Nice inkage!
