Heavy Of Heart
Walk
Through the veil
Of sorrowful tears
Each droplet
A story of heartache
Dripping upon skin
Eyes burning red
With the friction
Of those unstoppable sobs
Stepping on puddles
Ripples of a broken soul
Slowly spreading out
The darkness of regret
Laying heavy on the heart
As love crashes hard
Listen to the wind
It can’t disguise the death rattle
Emotions pouring into nothing
Once there was a bond
Now a vast chasm between
Mercy no longer has a name
