Lonely Planet Earth
I was born in a white man's skin
I never thought anything about it
until one day while traveling in a land
far away I had a sudden revelation
Are we really that much different
or are we just alike I wondered in despair
I tried to speak in my foreign tongue
but no one heard I feared
Like I was from another planet
So how can we bridge this gap
twixt me and all the others
A clash of many cultures
Our blood is the same color
We have the same hopes
dreams and desires
We live to love each other
Make no mistake we are all
sisters and brothers
from this lonely planet earth
I never thought anything about it
until one day while traveling in a land
far away I had a sudden revelation
Are we really that much different
or are we just alike I wondered in despair
I tried to speak in my foreign tongue
but no one heard I feared
Like I was from another planet
So how can we bridge this gap
twixt me and all the others
A clash of many cultures
Our blood is the same color
We have the same hopes
dreams and desires
We live to love each other
Make no mistake we are all
sisters and brothers
from this lonely planet earth
