Keep me in mind

 
When you’re all gathered around the table for a family dinner, with one empty chair;
              Keep me in mind.
When you’re all sitting around talking and laughing about your days;
                 Keep me in mind.
If you ever realize that something is missing from your life;
                 Keep me in mind.  
Now that you’re all alone and need a friend, someone to listen and understand;
                Keep me in mind.
Now that it feels like the weight of the world is on your shoulders;  
               Keep me in mind  
 Now that I left this world and you’ve stopped to think about me. Know that you lost me long ago;
               Keep that in mind
Don’t bring flowers to my grave because I’ll never be able to enjoy them.
              Keep that in mind.
Don’t get on your knees and pray to god I’ll come back to earth, because you didn’t appreciate my presence when I was there.
