Forgive Me Father
All I wanted was your love
I was a difficult son
A lost loner
That much we shared
Even though we can't
Let's drink a toast
Straight Kentucky bourbon
Two glasses
No ice

Even though we can't
Let's drink a toast

Dear P,
This piece is a very tender work to me of acceptance and forgiveness. Lovely in its brevity and right to the point. Beautiful write. H🌷

Very nice poet. I share that sentiment with you, what can sons say to fathers after they're gone? We are their reflections, we can thank them and honor them by living to our potential.

Values go a long way
I had wise parents
When I went astray they did their best to pull me back and teach me ....
Writing these poems keeps them close to me
Thank you Wally
