Alone with Silence

Alone ain't necessarily silent.
There's cicadas sing in my head,
the susurration of the breezes,
Sparrows chittering overhead…

The chirr of a gecko stalking its prey,
a cricket sings on the wall.
It seems, my friend that all alone...
is the least silent place of all.
