love and war
i remember how you looked under the tropical sun
i was ready to put the war behind me and pack away my gun
i had never seen beauty illuminate
you and i were a tragic fate
long before the times of clickbate
making love under the moonlight ur body opaque
the world was ours right in our hands to hold
but my past caught up changed destiny's foretold
once you hear the bullets fly over your head
theres no fairytale ending just mortar and bloodshed
i tried to change but im a soldier born and bred
its hard to escape the voices of the dead
i remember i left you heartbroken and eyes wet
as i went and drifted into the sunset
years have past i wish i could have changed our fate
your in heaven now but in my heart your beauty will always illuminate
i was ready to put the war behind me and pack away my gun
i had never seen beauty illuminate
you and i were a tragic fate
long before the times of clickbate
making love under the moonlight ur body opaque
the world was ours right in our hands to hold
but my past caught up changed destiny's foretold
once you hear the bullets fly over your head
theres no fairytale ending just mortar and bloodshed
i tried to change but im a soldier born and bred
its hard to escape the voices of the dead
i remember i left you heartbroken and eyes wet
as i went and drifted into the sunset
