I also suffer from squirrels up in the brain tree. But mostly from an over-busy life that doesn't leave enough time to tame them. Given enough space to breathe slowly, I can sometimes make them do tricks called poetry.

Tough subjects are.... tough. I bet if you just nibble away at them, 17 syllables at a time, it'll get easier.

But are your squirrels foaming at the mouth like mine 😁 17 syllables is my maximum for commentary on the current state of political chaos frankly he at the top and his psychophants, I mean sycophants 🙄, don't deserve more of my most prized commodity, words. Any more syllables and he'd levy a tariff on them. 🤓

There's no rule that says tough subjects or certain topics are required writing.  

If there were, few would be bothering with them.

What we could use less of is shoddy erotica, so you are much welcomed in that department.

Thank you, Johnny! It may seem a bit schmaltzy but I always try to maintain a degree of reverence when writing erotica. I try to accentuate the beauty of intimacy. In my estimation well written erotica should be akin to a nature piece.

Great quote, Josh! I do get in an occasional 17 syllable jab, especially at our current buffoon in chief.

Ask a writer what is on the mind and you may get a surprise, especially if that artist enjoys many genres of creativity.
