Druden Dream
I was caught between his body
A wall to my left closing me in
Sleep on my lids grew heavy
But still, I woke to falling pins
Soon, I sat at the edge of the bed
Looking onto his sleeping head
A whisp of white had caught my eye
No light to pinpoint the rattled sigh
Yet, I spotted a hag woman floating, grinning
In the corner looking down at her winnings
But my body guarded him in his deep slumber
Her smile turning feral when I pulled him under
Above us she hovered, back against the ceiling
Long white hair and robe lashing and expanding
I looked upon her demon face and bore my teeth
Pulling at her sashes, winding her slowly closer to me
With every violent wind around my arm, I uttered with a hiss
What I was to do once she was close enough to kiss
'This is my house
And I decide who eats
What prey they consume
You won't dig out
The pit miles deep
Nor ever again enter this room'
She shrieked again, but this time it didnt really hurt
A patch on her chest began spitting black gravel and dirt
It spread and pulled her back down towards the open earth
Tears escaped me as I pushed her down with all my worth
The sounds of explosive wailing and constant pain
Woke me screaming out her indigenous name
He woke to my left and I looked around and down
I found I woke sitting, my feet firm on the ground
He asked if I moved him and I replied 'yes, we were stuck,
Being held captive in Elysian once the witch hour struck'
He cradled me and fear swore I would never again sleep
But I woke up next morning, never hearing another peep.
A wall to my left closing me in
Sleep on my lids grew heavy
But still, I woke to falling pins
Soon, I sat at the edge of the bed
Looking onto his sleeping head
A whisp of white had caught my eye
No light to pinpoint the rattled sigh
