sacred

 
caught up in the melody
it awakens and invigorates
swimming on the winds
I feel the spirit of a place
I taste it with my soul
 
with the power to elevate or bring low
each city has its own flavor
the redwoods send out a rhythm
the oceans another feeling
 
on the mountain tops, I am cautious  
this place is sacred  
I won't even smoke here
to do so would desecrate
 
I wonder do others feel the energy of a place
connected to its emotions
yes, the buildings and nature have feelings

they quietly whisper  
making their thoughts known
