Perchance to Dream
Dreams too vivid, so it seems
Combined with ecstasy and screams
Familiar faces are transformed
Some angelic, some deformed
They remain throughout the day
Enjoying a lengthy stay
Then he sleeps, again the dreams
A subconscious shattered, so it seems.

Dear Crow, I think you might have been a fly on my wall. Watching as I tossed and turned to dreams so vivid I lost control. Dancing in puddles in a one woman show.
Loved this write!

I'm glad you can relate to this, but wish you more consistency, more dreams on the benevolent side. I never know what to expect, but the images and situations linger far too long. It's a good thing I'm seeing a therapist. Thank you!

Thank you Crow. Hoping the same for you.
Therapy does help to sort things out. For the most part.

Oh those nightmares! They chase you through the nights even when you're not asleep 😁 Crowfly. Good read.

Thank you, Grace. I just wish I could shake them off, not easily done, obviously. I hope yours vanish with the day.

Ah, I believe I would hate for the images to remain with me throughout the day. I can't imagine. What a lovely write though. My heart seeks you out as you deal with these things! Great ink.

The gods and our karma play with our minds and souls. Are they dreams or are they a call to raise our hearts? I fear more what I feel than what I dream. Beautiful spill my brother.

Bravo Sir Crow! You illustrate do well the thing veil between dreams and reality. The line from Hamlet is the perfect title.

Hmm. Dreams.. are very telling, in terms of what’s unfolding subconsciously for us !

It's one reason I don't watch films - the images pervade my dream-life for several nights before being 'processed' out of my system (and even then they lurk somewhere in the subconscious - Years ago I walked out of "The Matrix" after 25 minutes - and have hardly seen a film since., (a bit extreme I know but there you go)

It's so good to see your writing, crow! I'm just a daydreamer, but occasionally wake from ones that have me reaching for the xanax!! The feeling left behind ruins the entire day! 😶

You are my friend and a writer I admire and learn from firstly because you use that timeless mind to elevate the pillars of human principle, especially those typically dismissed, bringing that to church. Except you tell the truth.
Well delivered write, Crow. It would make a great Neil Gaiman intro opener
