I am an Empath

This is wonderful, Mel.  A very sincere and well-written piece.  Being an empath in today's world is difficult. I cannot to this day watch horrific movies or documentaries on suffering.  The energy is too overwhelming. And yet the blessing of truth can never be outweighed.  

The only nit I have is  conjurer should be conjure.

You are so right...I have empathy to a fault and it can be exhausting in a group. Particularly when there is negative energy. However, I wouldn't feel like myself without it.

Something I struggle with daily is
Not letting the energy/suffering of others drag me down which is quite a draining thing for me but I'm learning to not let my emotions override every situation I find myself in

So pleased you relate. Thank you for taking the time to read and respond. I too, can sometimes be so in tune with others pain that it can bring me to tears. I have to be sure to set aside alone time to recuperate. Particularly following large gatherings or one to one time with someone in despair. Nonetheless, I find it to be a blessing as it affords me compassion and enables me to be sympathetic with others as well as experience their joy:)

i too, am an empath
and the gifts have served me well with my family after several deaths
and while i try to steer clear of funerals and related ilk
my family is in constant healing mode  (lots of abuse shit in our history - mostly directed at me -- long story)

Growing up, my family knew something was weird about me but now in our elder years, my weirdness has become their Blessing.  Funny how this twist of fate has brought us closer together and now they embrace my spiritual gifts.  No one talks aloud about it but i know they know.

I mean, afterall, i can FEEL their emotions!!

I have not been on as of late. I helped an empath recently with a hypnotic session. I gave him a white light protection aura. He loves it! Thank you for your wonderful work. Where have you been?
