4th of July

Watching the WW2 planes fly above my head,
Then the fireworks in the sky overhead,
They're beautiful, but pale in comparison to your eyes,
I wish you could be here with me to watch the skies.
Feeling each firewook boom,
Reminding me of the feeling of my heart seeing you as I first walked into the room.
Our soldiers faught for our freedom,
And I am another kind of soldier, fighting for the freedom,
Of my heart,
Even though this night, we're apart.
The freedom to say,
All that I want to say,
To you,
These words so true.
