Gay Pride

This is for the boy who tried on his Mother’s make up and felt BEAUTIFUL for the first time

For the fathers that loved their sons but held their TRANS DAUGHTERS a lil tighter knowing intolerance still exists

For the girl who joined the football team
Once told her hair wasn’t long enough,
clothes not tight enough
not fitting in but finally finding her TRUE SELF.

This is for every and anyone who loves someone for their SOUL and not their gender.

For the great ppl that we lost and still remember

For the Matthew Shepards, Marsha Johnsons, 49 who never made it home from the Pulse nightclub.

For the 2 lesbians on the London bus
who were beaten
and beauty between them
that could not be bruised.

For all the times I was told I was just confused

This is for every he, she or they pronoun who crosses the street holding their partners hand knowing there is a community
that respects their love.

For being progressive and rising above

For anyone here afraid to come out
I pray you find your freedom within’.

This is where bravery begins
