Two Lovers ‘Elua Hoa

the sun has set
ua kau ka lā

I breathe you in
Hiki wau iāʻoe i loko

for you are always
no ka mea,ʻoʻoe mau

the sun over, under
ʻo ka lā, ma lalo

for you are always
no ka mea,ʻoʻoe mau

my lover’s warmth at night
ʻO ka mahanahana a kaʻu mea aloha i ka pō

for you are always
no ka mea,ʻoʻoe mau

my lover’s heart
ke aloha o kuʻu mea aloha

and as the moon will rise
a me ka mahina e ala mai a

forever in my arms
mau loa i koʻu mau lima

and with the moon and stars
a me ka mahina a me nā hōkū

forever in my eyes
i mua mau loa

I do not touch the ground
ʻAʻole wau e hoʻopā i ka lepo

when you make love to me
ke aloha maiʻoe iaʻu

we are the sun and moon
ʻO mākou ka lā a me ka mahina

forever in the sky
i ka lani mau loa

and be forevermore
a mau loa aku

two lovers in the sky
ʻelua mau mea aloha ma ka lewa
