A Battle of Nature

I threw the book into the flames to watch it burn,
Full of scorn.
The pages did curl,
Before burning, the book made me want to hurl.
I had no other option.
I prodded it with the iron,
To make sure it was consumed,
By the flames, it was illumed.
The fire grew, and an ember hit the carpet, and it began to consume,
I jumped up in fright,
This is not right,
The flame bacame a fire whirl!
Within the flames, I was sure I saw the silhouette of a girl.
 
I ran to the stairs...
We don't have stairs...
...Nothing but a mirage,
Just a deceitful image.
 
High winds began to blow things around,
Knocking things to the ground.
I turned back,
Only to be knocked upon my back.
I began crawling back.
The room became a world of it's own,
Completely unknown,
A landscape of fallen furniture, and broken knickknacks,
From the weather's attacks.
 
The room began to fill with smoke,
As I began to choke.
A super blood moon I did see,
Another mirage did I see?
From the last of the moisture in the room, a moonbow, no a sun dog,
I stared agog,
The hands did stop up on the clock.
Then a belt of Venus, across the sky of my room,
Would this be my tomb?
 
Noctilucent clouds began to form,
Then turning to Mammatus form,
I saw all that did transpire,
From the St Elmo’s Fire,
To eventually, the Aurora Borealis,
The battle of nature, I did witness,
Within my own home,
A sight you see seldom.
 
The thunderstorm fought valiantly,
To put out the fire, deadly,
The rain won, as my vision went dim,
Only to be brought back, from what seemed a dream,
When the paramedics arrived,
I was very oxygen deprived.
 
How could I explain what I had just witnessed?
