Into the Jaws of Death
So, you want to know how I got here?
Starting out as a mage,
Learning under those wise, and sage,
Kept away in the tower,
To flourish like a magical flower.
With the Circle of Magi,
Under the Templar's watchful eye,
Away from fearful society,
To learn how to control my powers, mighty.
I was to undertake the Harrowing,
Knowing,
This far, I've come,
Consuming Lyrium,
I walked the surreal grounds of the Fade,
And a Magician or an Abomination, was made.
I was sent to go see First Enchanter Irving,
On request, by Jowan my friend, after the Harrowing, passing,
Where then, I met my future mentor, Duncan,
With whom, I would become a Grey Warden.
Fast forward through time,
Through all the crime, and the grime,
I've lost my friend, tragic,
To the ways of blood magic.
Survived the Joining,
At the signal, Teyrn Loghain retreated instead of the ambush,
And with a swoosh,
Left King Cailan, and many soldiers, and all but two Wardens dead,
The bloodshed!
An absolute massacre,
We lost Duncan at the battle of Ostagar.
And the village of Lothering?
A massive killing.
Loghain had the Wardens banished,
All hell unleashed,
The border with Orlais closed before their Wardens could make it, when
A civil war broke out in Ferelden!
I've met more people,
On a team I did assemble,
Whom I hope consider me their friend,
On whom, they can always depend.
I've sold my apprentice robes, and leather boots,
My style, and circumstances, each now better suits.
I can now shape shift,
And with a few clicks, swift,
Can make advanced poisons,
And a bit of stealing, for my accumulations.
And along the way,
I did and did not obey,
Some crimes I've been thwarting,
And some, I've been committing.
Defeated Darkspawn,
And King Harrowmont won,
Some were pleased,
Some were greatly repulsed.
The golem Shale, is by my side.
The Dalish Elves are on our side,
And an army I have amassed,
With a few quests left to be passed,
And the final battle just up ahead,
This is where I head...
Into the jaws of death.
