Expressed in May’s Begun – Sonnet One

In smiles of truck exhaust and halogen,
My auto dawn’s encroach on vagrant night,
The hills’ and valleys’ violet flush begin,
Her body’s thoughts awakened gift ignites.

At cusp of Spring’s young build and Summer’s lush,
Well-traveled roads that lead to new arrives,
A map of reminisce for Winter's crush,
That runs from rosy peaks to great divides.

The road-trips that we’ve made, both east and west,
And highways bound, hard driven, north and south,
From ocean swells that southern beach impressed,
To rock-hard falls that gush from western mouth.

The rush of 1-0-1 through valley’s run
The push and drive expressed in May’s begun.

Author's Note
Being inspired by the WriMo - I am challenging myself to a sonnet cycle - a sonnet a day for a year. I figure if I put it in writing - I might actually pull it off...
