ENCEPHALON REX
All humanoids have one on-board.
A computer with power unequaled.
Branded principally as the brain,
the mind, or gray matter...
too many other names to mention.
Theories and beliefs regarding the inventor,
the manufacturer are many and varied.
Differing only slightly.
in size, shape, color and configuration.
Having a, typically long-lasting,
cardiological power supply.
With unlimited storage capacity,
And varying amounts of recall memory
and processing speed.
Each equipped with peripherals,
eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and nerves
Which serve as receptors for
Images, sounds, tastes, odors, feelings
Analyzing and archiving all.
Essentially possessing the same hardware,
installed and programmed with
basic code,
Recognizing and reacting to hunger,
thirst, pain, and pleasure, for example.
The majority of our programming
Is uploaded from other computers on our network.
Replete with code that interprets for good or nefarious purposes,
the images we see, the sound we hear, the pleasure we sense...
just about every sensation under the Sun
Programming that teaches us what or who to love,
Who or what to hate
How to act, react, interact in given situations and with our fellow beings.
Code passed down from generation to generation...for centuries
Much of the data we ingest is corrupt
or infested with system destroying bugs,
prejudice, selfishness, resentment, greed to name a few.
Many invade before our firewalls have been constructed
and reinforced leaving indelible impressions in our memory.
Unfortunately our operating system was not developed to include a delete,
defrag, or clear cache function.
Oh to be one of the outliers,
The stand-alone's
Only plugging into the network
When absolutely necessary.
Governed only by innocent, divinely authored code.
My innate programming informing
All that I develop based on my impressions and life experience.
Then I'd be a bonafide power user.
