A Dark Night (String of Haiku/Senryu)

The night is dark
No flickering stars in sight
To light this darkness

I'm feeling lonesome
Sense of somberness grips me
On this lonely night

A heavy feeling
Surrounds the deep dark hollows
Of my restless heart

I remember home
The home of my childhood years
On a night like this

Sound of guitar strings
Plucked by my brother's fingers
Echoed through the night

There was much laughter
As we listen to stories
To fill the darkness

It is on dark nights
When memories come to haunt
And I remember
