Ninja prologue
I spun around, fast and deadly, my blades slicing through the man that once stood behind me. I heard another assailant fall to my left and sensed Asher at my side a second later.
"I've got three so far. I hear two for you. How many more do you think there are?" I asked, pitching my voice low so only he'd hear.
"Does it matter? We can take whoever comes at us!" Asher said confidently, not bothering to whisper.
"Shut up!" I hissed, slapping him on the chest. "Dont get cocky, stay on your toes." He sighed and mumbled something incoherent under his breath, but still sunk back into a crouch behind me.
The room was dark but I heard more assassins creeping up all around us. I tightened my grip on my Katanas. Asher was right though, and I knew it. We could take anything on!
