Crazy Little Thing Called...

Of all the wonders that fill our world
So many experiences so yet unfurled
With a life full of such love and wonder
Somehow so easily torn asunder
Hope lurking though ‘round every corner here
Yet a world that’s filled with such fear
There are those that we call brave
But cross that line, turns to depraved
Such a line between love and crazy
No doubt people live in fear and become lazy
You cannot get hurt again if you do not try
But you will not feel loved again until you reach for the sky
And for the stars within that sky that know no bounds
Will lift up your spirits and your feet from the ground
Feeling all aflutter with your heart in your throat
Making pale in comparison to what other authors wrote
So go on and live your life and invite love in
For you have to start somewhere for things to begin
And if not now then when, when everything is over?
These aren’t magical wishes that you can wish on a clover
Put yourself out there and know love comes with hurt
Go out and find it now before you’re laid in the dirt
For those who have found it don’t be afraid to spread
What you have so that others may not live a life of dread
Come on stand up now and be not afraid to shout
For life is too short and love is really what it’s about
It makes the world go ‘round and makes you feel full inside
Even if it is just loving yourself, do not be ashamed and hide
Do the things you want to do and be who you want to be
Then things will be better, and you’ll be happier, you’ll see
