The Sky is Falling

surrounded by the hue of blue that holds my flesh
firmly against the bubling porous ground
the weight of the world is beneath my shoulders
while gravity pins my skin from underneath
sandwiching my soul between a desire to let go of life
and the submissiveness to embrace death
the ten count ended and then I surrendered
but still she rejects my plea to take me
because a stronger force of fate claimed my body and soul
knowing I knew she could never undo my fate
to be scrambled like eggs being stir fried alive
though the stone skillet has long since gone cold
the fire from bricks of brimstone cook me through and through
and I feel lost in my own self loathing from a life of insufferable loneliness
this deep blue pool I've become submerged in threatens my every breath
yet suffocating within it seems more mercifal than existing one more day
while crumbling blue bits of sky fall all around my feet as you gaze up on me
