Silence In the Garden

By the star of Orion, neath his belt led astray
Where the river Acheron drowns with dismay
Of far away stares better seen through blind eyes
The gates of far off wonders left us grasping for the skies

Her dark sihllouette feted the masses on high
The echos of degradation oft left murmured with a sigh
A millenia born of madness ushered in to it's lost gate
Left at the alter of darkness with the teaming hands of fate

Her pale veil hung out on the breeze of wanting
Beset by avarice the skies left haunting
For darker horizons embrace the lost
A erudite bargain once likened to Faust

The gates of her hardship so calming and sweet
The kindom well hindered by the giant's feet
A statue begotten of carnage and woe
Where the lifeblood of Eden and Adam does flow
