Sleep Won't Cave Tonight
Tears trickle
the heart again starts
to tear in two
time
thought to have washed away
memory
fails as it streams in disarray
insides beckon
and I'm left to render
helpless
with the sounds of knocking
getting near
sleep won't cave tonight
as long discussed pretexts
prevent real answer
real question
so lie awake and bathe
alone in solitude

I am alone but I don't feel lonely (could be due to the voices and other occurrences associated with schizophrenia)

Sleep is quite often elusive for me as well. When I say I feel this write, it's putting it mildly. Excellent work.
