Life's Gifts
Look how far you've come
It was not an easy ride
To reach this moment
Today you are changed
So different from who you were
Many years ago
Like has left its mark
In all of your being scars
That time cannot heal
Life has given you
The wounds in your heart and soul
The lines on your face
You have grown through them
Battled your way through life's trench
To be where you are
The struggle is far
From being over for you
It seems so endless
As you constantly
Wage a war with the darkness
That lurks inside you
Be not discouraged
You are stronger than you think
You can get through life
At the end of it
You will see how good it was
To have lived your life
Not all are given
The same life and privelege
To enjoy this journey
Accept all life's gifts
Embrace the pain learn through them
Find joy in living
Celebrate your life
Count not the years but moments
That make memories
It was not an easy ride
To reach this moment
Today you are changed
So different from who you were
Many years ago
Like has left its mark
In all of your being scars
That time cannot heal
Life has given you
The wounds in your heart and soul

Battled your way through life's trench
