Delicate Feelings (Reveille)
Delicate dreams wrap round the lightest days;
I wear them like a night dress until dawn;
For they feel beautiful, with such soft plays -
Those soundless melodies - until I'm torn
From sleep by alarmed notes that burst my skies,
Break rain-filled dreams, and open up the shades
With bright attention; my heartbeat so tries
To dance with dust motes in the sun; away
With droning dream dirges, we have begun
To share our loving daybreaks; memories
Are built with high hopes, as we have fond fun
With words that need no saying; fantasies
Suffice, along with sex as each kiss teams
With sighs, so delicate they feel like dreams.
I wear them like a night dress until dawn;
For they feel beautiful, with such soft plays -
Those soundless melodies - until I'm torn
From sleep by alarmed notes that burst my skies,
Break rain-filled dreams, and open up the shades
With bright attention; my heartbeat so tries
To dance with dust motes in the sun; away
With droning dream dirges, we have begun
To share our loving daybreaks; memories
Are built with high hopes, as we have fond fun
With words that need no saying; fantasies
Suffice, along with sex as each kiss teams
With sighs, so delicate they feel like dreams.
