Letter to my addiction

My ignorance of your purpose has caused great suffering. I felt you to be a parasite feasting on my life and happiness.The more i hated you, the more you grew. The more i have fought you, the more you have bound me. The more i denied you, the louder your voice became. The calls of your endless appetite became my master.

As i sit with you in awareness, the delusion of seperation evaporates. Only in this light may i find what is true.

On my path, you are my greatest teacher. I need you in the same way you need me for there is no me without you, and no you without me.

Only through love, faith, and compassion may what was once part become whole. Only through this truth may i find peace
