her golden years (excerpt from apronsongs3)
how regal now
she bides her Father’s time,
unworn by circumstance!
how quick her wit
and vigorous her strength
in latter clime,
as on the balcony
of grace she sits!
***
her apronsongs
are fresh as morninglight,
encompassing all hopes
and dreams and cares.
through Christ alone
she crucifies the night,
weaving from circumstance
her golden years…
