Madness In Bloom
(i)
I gather the gauze
wrapped around clouds
drawing curtains silver and blue
listening to sighs of trees
soundless, birdless
of all sorrow
chocked in tumbleweeds
(ii)
My heart
in shape of a wheel
turns with eddies
returning to all things
transparent
afloat streaming to sea.
(iii)
You tell me
tonight is the last night on earth
yet;
I see you resisting once more
gravity of fall
rancid stench of madness in the air
writing another hyperbole in the diary
self-saboteur, a devotee, king of pity
scrolls of elegy reel
summoning
roles rolled with the cuff.
(iv)
The rains came too late
to wash grime, lust and lies
growing more skin
to cover footprints.
What are you afraid of darling?
Eternal sleep ceases all dreams
there is no kingdom
no afterlife
dwelling in shadows
refusing to be saved.
(v)
Stop
saying
you’ll kill yourself
the ones who dance with death
never tell.

Thank you Melia, it's been a challenging period and I'm trying to find some balance and therapy through writing. I'm glad you appreciated this :)

blooming madness...
expression.
absolutely fantastic the buildup.
imagery, engaging, holding.
then you deliver this
""the ones who dance with death
never tell."'
stunning with a tinnitus effect.

I guess little boys who cry wolf grow up and continue to cry wolf from being in terror to becoming the terrorists themselves. ..but alas no one is in the forest anymore to hear it.

The self absorbed will say anything. They thrive on attention and control. Keep that wheel moving and don't look back.. excellent verse

Thank you Ahavati, you get me, you get this poem!
I'm in a period of very trying, tiring times and this is where writing comes in as therapy.

I hear you Layla. This time of darkness is going to give way, leaving you wiser.
In section i, you give us this ethereal metaphor that bespeaks, to me, the coming to terms, the way we gather ourselves, crystallize our thoughts in reflection, is a lot like gathering fabric from clouds. It has a lyrical harmony that I enjoy as well.
In section ii, you continue a kind of natural reverie, the cycles of feeling, of knowing and of self. Realization. Acceptance in the well of emotions that have gathered.
You continue in the follow sections, giving us, with a sense of your disillusionment, disappointment, betrayal and horror, the sad and maladjusted relationship to this person that has fallen to tatters and hyperbolic displays of emotional imbalance they have brought to you.
Overall, you continue with your unique ability to elucidate your experience with such clarity. I read Stargazer to my therapist and told him being a poet is the joy of turning the chaotic mess of life into a keen linear razor.
Ups and downs, joys and sorrows, I'm with you my friend and always appreciate your writes.

Thank you Daniel.
The road has been rough but I never thought the curve around the bend will be a nightmare and as the famous saying goes by winston churchill 'if you are going through hell, keep going' and i am.

Layla, I see feel this ever in ur scribes..shrill piercing metaphors ..of whatever theme...here the intense darkness, the such revealing light over such darkness & its lingering shadows that we cohabit we bond ...only to see how they retract in cowardice & dramatics they thrive in...I feel pained & ur words have intense effect on me ..in whatever conveyed.
you.are.a. poet. and a soul. adored & felt intimate to this one ev . write on u brave one . light n love xx

ah Uma your comment and ever calm and collective presence always warms my heart. This poem wasn't easy to articulate but I'm hoping the fragmented imagery pulled together to showcase the dysfunctional state I am in, I was in and trying to keep my sanity, logic and normalcy through dealing with someone who has mental illness.
Thank you for being in my corner with my humble gratitude.
