The Beauty of Our Sky (in Collaboration with MatthewZ)

We rest upon a hill top high  
To view the main event
Sheltered from the crowd below
By making this ascent
 
The cloudless sky above
A sweep of blackest night  
We'll ring in hopeful New Year
With a spectacle of light
 
The sound of distant rockets
Herald the opening show
Pyrotechnic explosions  
Soon set the night aglow
 
Looking up, we behold
The bursting, sizzling, sprays  
Multitudes of sparkles
In spectacular arrays  
 
Two hearts as one together
Beneath joyous coloured wheels
Like the fireworks all ‘round
How sublime this friendship feels
 
Let us each raise a glass  
In a fitting toast, my friend  
To you, me, DUP, and this
