meteor

the stillness of your breath captured me
you exhale stars and eons open
I was a visitor on your plane of understanding

in the first revolution of time, you knew me
I was an infant evolving in passions
you desired a woman of knowledge
one who rivaled you in desire

sent blind into the world of men
not one lifespan but many
refined in pain my soul grew

the art of becoming saw me unravel
I crashed into you in this world
my eyes were opened and I saw you

I hated your truth
it reflected my own
my needs shone in your eyes
afraid I look away

my soul caught in my throat
it echoed our mirrored torment
two meteors in orbit
fated to crash into each other

lust ignited
until the last revolution of time
our passions burn
