the heaviness of being
the clouds press in on me
and I struggle within myself
with the heaviness of being
face to face with God
he's not as you think he is
all shining love
I've seen otherwise
in the natural order of things
both below and above
yes he is beautiful
there is no doubt about that
my eyes attest to this fact
you witness it in creation
in the evolution of his soul
but there is a darker side
most dare not see him naked
though I have and after I did
my infantile beliefs were shattered
by the genius of our father
he will go to any extreme
to see his experiment
come to fruition
a mad scientist he is
dabbling in evolution
chaos and death
are part of rebirth
the mighty redwood seeds
must first burn
before they are freed
as sentinels over this Earth
he desires I learn many things...
things of wisdom
his method, pure insanity
but what do I know?
in all the vast universes
I'm just a child
with a fierce will
evolving in understanding

Your evolution makes for great reading. I can't claim to have seen God, but I believe I've glimpsed angels. So maybe he's doing something right. It's all a matter of perspective. Yours is not the same as mine, coming as mine does from a Christian point of view. Still, fine write, a powerhouse of lines.

thank you graciously dearest Sir Crow I know this mad scientist intimately... having gone through some harrowing spiritual events...I used to subscribe to the Christian religion but revelations to my mind have led to me to see otherwise...

Crimmy,
I love that little mind, my friend! Theological philosophy, too?
You're amazing. Beautiful vision, and writing!
Love,
Matthew.

my favourite god is Ganesha...love a god with an elephant head...and then there's Krishna with all his gopis...then too Quetzacoatl bearded bringer of knowledge...kinda like Gaia a lot too...the Christian god is really nasty and has never held any attraction...all in the mind...everything....

Don't you love it when atheist cry out "Why then is god so mean?"... as parts of galaxies are currently being swallowed by black holes in tremendous violent comic rifts...and people think that life is going to be a breeze with no Bootcamp to traverse...To create a new...means the old gets overrun...Shiva the creator and destroyer of worlds

Bravo fellow traveler

stanza 6 you crack that bitch wide open for interpretation and denouncing belief structures in my mind, it's great, and always fulfilling. faith will always be scratch marks on the inside of a coffin; i'll be non denominational until i'm dying lol, then we'll see which god or gods i'll scuttle to.
well penned Crim.

I must echo my peers above and say this was truly epic.
We are cursed with the need to understand and sadly most riddles remain mysteries...
But that doesn't stop us from trying
