A Mind Off-Grid, Nr.09 - Turf! (a paradelle)

I listen to the poet sing
I listen to the poet sing
the singer says “Hey! That’s my turf”
the singer says “Hey! That’s my turf”
The poet says “I sing the singer-turf
listen to my Hey!"  That’s

the clouds failing in the brooding night
the clouds failing in the brooding night
The club will open 10.00p.m
The club will open 10.00p.m
The night-club clouds open, brooding
in the failing will. The 10.00p.m

shot of whiskey livens up the scene
shot of whiskey livens up the scene
as music thumps to flashing lights
as music thumps to flashing lights
the whiskey-shot lights up to music
as flashing livens thumps of …

The P.M thumps the music turf, says
“I shot the poet; that’s my scene.
Open up the club to the failing singer!”
Brooding clouds of the night listen in
as Whiskey Will livens to 10 lights flashing -
Hey sing!”
