Changes
Anything can happen in just a few seconds.
Your life can be taken away just like that,
In the few seconds you're not looking at her-
silent tears roll down her face cause she's hurt,
In those few seconds where your anger got the best of you,
you could've comforted her instead of being distant,
Making her feel unwanted...
In a few seconds you could've lightened up her dark world,
In a few seconds you could've turned her frowns into smiles,
In those few seconds you're not there to protect her, guide her,
In a few seconds, instead of letting her go, you could've gone after her-
just to let her know that she's not just wanted, but needed.
It just takes a few seconds to change everything,
To bring you closer to someone or for you to push them away,
To stop wars or to engulf the world in flames,
To convince someone whose at the edge to keep fighting-
they've got a purpose.
All it takes is a few seconds...

We agree this piece applies to a lot of different area of life. We weren't even imagining a a mate while reading. Good stuff
