The Puppy Had to Love Like a Dog!
She asked for my heart,
So wholeheartedly,
With unquantified innocence,
I carved it from my chest
And with both hands
I handed it over,
So she could be its keeper.
Instead she danced over it,
Breaking it down to a million pieces,
Until there was nothing to break anymore,
And when I begged for a moment to bleed,
With a witch's tear and a sharp piercing voice,
She shamelessly accused me of being heartless.
That moment I knew,
The puppy love was gone,
So like a greedy dog I learnt to move my bones
And bury my meat in different holes everyday,
Panting and puffing in the heat,
Just to blow off some steam,
Release and relieve myself
From the shame and the pain
Of ever licking the same wound again.
Ever!!!
