Cigarettes

Our lives are like cigarettes,
The harder you pull
The brighter you burn
the faster you finish

We're put into boxes with the rest
We're labeled from the start
We don't know who'll use us
or if they'll finish to the stem

All we leave behind
is smoke on the wind
and ash on the floor

Someone elses mess to clean up

Will we be enjoyed
Or will we kill our users
