wildflower dreams and visions

      
while searching the fields  
seeking my wildflowers tonight
I came across a rare beauty
who helped me find solace
 
I sought the sun in my mind
at first, I was evaded
I thought the fairies were at play
withholding their magic
 
then you smiled and in came the sunshine
my mind was at ease instantly
gentle rays caressed and my thoughts slowed
nature prevailed, I was transported
 
I see us as little girls singing songs
running through the green, picking daisies  
decorating each other's hair
we're so very happy
 
it was hot today
here a cooling breeze
kisses our sweating brows
giving us sweet dreams
 
we climb the tree of knowing
and whisper secrets to one another
I see a gifted storyteller
the world sees a rival
 
with hushed tones, we lift each other
so the winds carry our stories
and then sprinkles them down below  
on the very petals of the flowers, it's now written
our little girl dreams of the future
 
we are the keepers over stories and visions  
the way to this magical realm hidden
I lost my way there
you came in with your heart  
and showed me the path back to inspiration
