Something To Believe In

I finally have something to believe in
Something that makes me smile inside
I have no idea what will happen yet
But I had to promise to still live my life.
I know how I want things work out
But I know things never go as I plan
So as they say...Hope for the best
But plan for the worse.
The best will be having my dreams come true
The worse being that my future with you isn't bright.
One day at a time is all we have for now
But that's more than I had before.
The more I learn the more I will wait
Just knowing that your smile lifts me up
Up to a level that has me wanting more
