MYSTIC MOONLIGHTS MAASAI SPELL  (3-26-89, 'Oh My God' Hot Springs, Anza Borrego Desert Badlands, Southern California)

   
     
naked beneath  
my blanket draped body s  
nocturnally wandering form  
as i walk on  
out into this raw  
primal night alone  
my shadow elongates  
out across this vast  
flat  moonlit desert floor  
cast under luminous  
mystically soothing moonlight  
my shadow elongates  
horizontally before me  
as it maasai s out  
just ahead of me  
in graceful silence  
slipping stealthily over rocks  
sleeping cactus and seemingly endless  
miles of moonlit sands beyond  
it stretches gracefully forth  
leading me intuitively onwards  
towards one bright star  
twinkling just up ahead of me  
above the distant western horizon  
as i walk fearlessly on  
with serene  calm  tranquil mind  
through timeless time  
out into the boundless mystery  
of this ancient night    
it and i continue to maasai further on  
as my silent spirit  
peers receptively out across  
into these timeless  primordially conscious  
lucidly alive  wondrously beautiful  
wild desert dream shadowlands  
of my ever evolving  
increasingly unfolding experiential being s  
present life journey s  
long ago quickened  
now still perpetual  
ongoing  sustained state  
of ever awakened  higher consciousness  
fully awakened being  
where i here now  
as with every chance i get  
consciously surrender again  
succumbing fully to it s powerful  
deeply hypnotic  primal spell  
as the greater  conscious  living universe  
in it s full  all encompassing unfoldment  
all around me here  
likewise fully surrenders  
openly and wholly
in kind  in turn
to my attuned awareness s  
openly awakened spirit and being s free will  
wherein it too soon succumbs  
in uniform harmony with my own  
awakened  higher consciousness s  
further ongoing oneness awareness  
as one with all  
in open  receptive return  
as well
