Don't wait for me
Rather wait for God
Don't wait on me
Rather wait on God
Because I do not like to make promises
I feel like promises always lead to disappointments
So rather carry on,
Carry on with your life
And if you are in my reach
I will reach out to you
If I can still hold you
I will grab onto you
But until then keep moving
Because I can't ask you to wait for me when I'm working on moving forward
So I can't ask you to stop everything for me because that would be the most selfish decision I could ever make
The only thing I can ask
Is that sometimes you should look back
But not always
Because if it is in my strength to catch up to you I shall
So don't wait on me
Rather wait on God
And Don't wait for me
Rather wait for God
Because
if you are truly mine and I yours
then we must both find God
before we find each other
