Tears of Ivory Vines
These tears are like ivory
Laces of gold and twine
Wrapped around
Trailing down my cheeks
And lacing around my neck
Like a wisteria vine
Beautiful to see
But dangerous
When intertwined
It is like poison ivy
Choking me and making me raw
My eyes puff and my skin
It splotches
I itch and I claw
But to no avail
These tears of chaos
Never leave
They stay clinging
To my already frail frame
Bending me to its every whim
Crushing me
And leaving me broken
Broken beyond recognition
There’s no hope left
But to just give up
Just let the tendril
Caress these cheeks
And offer them up
To the never ending abyss
Of empty darkness
And of lost love
Laces of gold and twine
Wrapped around
Trailing down my cheeks
And lacing around my neck
Like a wisteria vine
Beautiful to see
But dangerous
When intertwined
It is like poison ivy
Choking me and making me raw
My eyes puff and my skin
It splotches
I itch and I claw
But to no avail
These tears of chaos
Never leave
They stay clinging
To my already frail frame
Bending me to its every whim
Crushing me
And leaving me broken
Broken beyond recognition
There’s no hope left
But to just give up
Just let the tendril
Caress these cheeks
And offer them up
To the never ending abyss
Of empty darkness
And of lost love
